Who we are

An Asphalt Company With Its Own Pavers

Greenfield Pavement Coatings is an asphalt paving company based in Clarksville, Tennessee. We pave asphalt driveways for homeowners and parking lots for businesses, churches, HOAs and retail sites. The work runs across Montgomery County, the Nashville area and Middle Tennessee.

The hot mix goes down with our own pavers. For repairs and smaller sections, our skid steer's two-foot and four-foot milling attachments cut the failed area out clean. When a whole parking lot has to be milled first, a full-size milling machine comes in for that job.

Every job starts with a look at the surface and the ground under it. Then the quote comes to you in writing, with the work and the price spelled out before anything is scheduled. After the paving, sealcoating, crack sealing and striping keep the surface in shape as it ages.

About Our Company
Why Choose Greenfield Pavement

Asphalt Paving, Sealcoating and Repair Around Clarksville

Our own pavers on every job

Greenfield Pavement lays hot mix asphalt with its own pavers, on a driveway and on a parking lot alike. The same equipment goes to a home and to a business.

Milling attachments for clean repairs

A skid steer with two-foot and four-foot milling attachments cuts out failed asphalt before a patch goes in. The new asphalt bonds to sound pavement instead of sitting on top of the broken piece.

2

We look at the job

We come out and look at the asphalt, the base under it and where the water runs. On a parking lot we also look at the traffic pattern and the striping.

Parking lots get their striping once the asphalt has cured. We tell you how long to keep cars off the new surface. We also tell you when it will be ready for its first sealcoat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About Asphalt Paving or Sealcoating?

Here are common questions about asphalt paving, sealcoating and repair around Clarksville and the Nashville area. If yours is not here, call or text and we will answer it.

Call (931) 362-7283

What does an asphalt paving contractor do?
An asphalt paving contractor lays hot mix asphalt over a prepared base and rolls it while it is hot. Greenfield Pavement Coatings does that for driveways at homes and for parking lots at businesses. We also sealcoat, stripe, patch, crack seal, resurface and mill asphalt, and we build chip seal drives.
What area do you serve?
We are based in Clarksville and work about 75 miles around it, across Middle Tennessee and the Nashville area. Most of the work sits south and east, from Nashville and Hendersonville down to Murfreesboro, Franklin and Spring Hill. Springfield, Dickson, Ashland City and Pleasant View sit closer to Clarksville. If your job is near the edge of that range, call or text and ask.
How does pricing work?
We price each job after we see it. The size of the area, the condition of the base and how much old asphalt comes out drive the number. Thickness, access for the trucks and the paver, and any milling matter too. Call or text (931) 362-7283, and the quote comes to you in writing.
Do you pave driveways for homes as well as parking lots?
Yes. Homeowners get new asphalt driveways and full replacements, paved with the same pavers we run on commercial work. Businesses, churches, HOAs, retail and industrial sites get new lots, lot replacements, striping and sealcoating. A lot that has to stay open can be paved in sections.
Should I repair, resurface or replace my driveway?
Cracks and a few potholes in a sound driveway call for asphalt repair and crack sealing. A worn surface over a solid base can take an asphalt overlay. Alligator cracking across most of the drive points to a failed base, and replacement is the better answer. We tell you which one fits after we see it.
When should a new driveway be sealcoated?
Not right away. New asphalt has to cure before a sealcoat will bond, so the first coat waits until the surface has aged. After that, sealcoating on a regular schedule keeps water and sunlight off the asphalt. Cracks get filled first, and the surface has to be clean and dry on the day.
What is chip seal, and does it fit a long driveway?
Chip seal, also called tar and chip, is liquid asphalt sprayed over a prepared base, with stone chips rolled in. The finish is rougher than hot mix and looks more like a country road. It suits long rural drives and farm lanes, where the length matters more than a smooth finish. Hot mix asphalt is the smoother, denser surface for a suburban driveway or a parking lot.
Do you stripe parking lots and mark accessible spaces?
Yes. Parking lot striping covers new layouts, restriping, arrows, stencils and fire lanes. Accessible spaces and their access aisles follow the ADA Standards for Accessible Design, which set how many a lot needs. Striping goes on after new asphalt has cured, or over a clean, dry lot on a restripe.
When is paving season in Middle Tennessee?
Hot mix has to go down warm and sealer needs dry days, so both run best spring through fall. NOAA's climate normals for Clarksville put the January low near 27 degrees and the high near 46. Winter here freezes at night and thaws by day, and the area gets about 51 inches of rain a year. Water in a crack turns into a pothole by spring, so crack sealing in the fall keeps it out.
